Blizzard has acknowledged the Escaping Ban'ethil escort bug in WoW Forever beta. Check the exact symptom, fix status and what is not yet verified.
Escaping Ban'ethil is officially listed as a WoW Forever beta issue. Blizzard says Sentinel Lynessa Duskblossom runs too fast during the escort and repeatedly uses Strike.

The arrival of client build 1.60.1.69913 does not by itself prove this server-side escort behavior changed. We will mark it fixed only after Blizzard updates the status or the quest is reproduced successfully on the relevant build and realm.
What to do
- Confirm that Battle.net has finished applying the newest beta update before retesting.
- If the behavior still occurs, use the in-game bug-report tool and include the realm, build and exact step where the escort failed.
- Avoid treating abandon/reaccept, relogging or a group reset as guaranteed fixes; Blizzard did not publish those workarounds.
- Check Beta Known Issues and the Beta Build Tracker before repeating the quest.
