Archived WoW Forever Escaping Ban'ethil escort bug: Blizzard listed it resolved September 24. Review the historical symptom and client-verification limits.
This is an archived WoW Forever beta escort issue, not a current release bug report. Sentinel Lynessa Duskblossom was reported to run too fast and repeatedly use Strike. Blizzard's September 24 follow-up moved Escaping Ban'ethil into Resolved Issues; this site has not independently retested the quest in a client.

The old client build 1.60.1.69913 alone does not prove a server-side behavior changed. The official follow-up supplies the historical status update; it does not establish how every later client behaves.
