The newest build number seen by this site's monitoring is not automatically a patch note, and it does not automatically make an older talent snapshot current. This tracker separates observed client builds, official Blizzard statements and player-reported problems.
Official October updates
Reviewed November 2. The beta is closed; its title remains in the URL as a historical record. This page separates official announcements, staff replies and player reports, without claiming a live service check or a verified current client build.
October 26–27: racial changes before launch
Blizzard's October 26 racial update and October 27 additions supersede several earlier values: Human Ruthless is 1%, Dwarf Earth Fury is replaced by Artisan’s Precision, Orc Command returns and Skyborne Wind Blessed is 2% Haste. Tauren Plainsrunning reaches 60% on foot and no longer increases mounted speed.
The racial comparison owns the full summary. The Skyborne guide separates base effects from Attuned/Charged and the raid restriction. These official posts do not supply a new verified talent export for this site; the calculator remains on 1.60.1.69876.
Name reservation: announced fixes and reported faults
- Official announcement: In the notice titled October 27, Blizzard acknowledged an overly broad name filter and planned a correction with each region's next realm restarts. This is not proof that every region or naming fault is fixed.
- Customer Support reply: A staff response in the reservation thread distinguishes an Oceanic RP/RP-PvP issue from reports involving US rulesets. Staff acknowledgment is not a universal workaround.
- Player reports: The same thread still contained reports of unavailable or mismatched rulesets when reviewed November 2. Reports establish symptoms, not a live outage map or a verified cause.
Use name-reservation error triage for rejected names and creation choices, or WOW51900309 connection checks for unavailable rulesets. Keep these separate from the closed beta's historical issue list.
- October 20 — beta extension: The announced final shutdown moved to October 23 at 10 a.m. PDT / 17:00 UTC, with the October 21 stress test and beta reopening handled separately. See the official schedule.
- October 15 — development notes: Blizzard published class, racial, UI and bug-fix changes. The forum reply is timestamped October 16 in UTC; the update is titled October 15. Read the full official changelog, not a guessed client build number.
What matters in the October 15 update?

These are official-note summaries, not independent client retests. The calculator and linked fixed-snapshot builds remain on 1.60.1.69876; this article update does not import new talent data or validate current DPS rankings. Conflicting or repeated lines in patch notes should be checked in the client rather than resolved by guesswork.
- October 14 — maintenance: Blizzard scheduled beta downtime at 8 a.m. PDT for internal testing. This notice is not the beta end date. See the maintenance announcement for follow-ups.
- October 8 — development update: City of Dalaran opened for testing, dungeon creature XP increased by about 20%, and Cooldown Manager gained support for every class, racials and trinkets. See the official October 8 notes.
- October 1 — development update: The level cap became 30. Excavation Site: Wetlands (26–31), Razorfen Downs (25+) and Uldaman (30+) became available. See the official October 1 notes.

Historical September build observations
The table below preserves the September monitoring record. 70009 is not a claim about the latest October build. The October posts linked above do not supply an exact client build number; a newer number has not been independently verified here.

The Talent Calculator remains labeled 1.60.1.69876. A new build label alone cannot authorize rewriting 468 talent nodes or calling them current.
Talents Forever's historical comparison reports no change to its tracked talent, spell, racial or Legacy tables between 69913 and 69977. Its comparison for 70009, however, records talent and spell changes. Blizzard's September 24 development notes independently announce changes including the removal of Improved Holy Strike, the Elemental Fury/Elemental Alacrity row swap, and the Mangle → Primal Bite and Primal Fury → Blood Frenzy renames. These are officially announced changes, not independently checked by this site in an enUS client. The calculator remains on 69876; do not use it as a current-build talent recommendation. Earlier discrepancies between the pinned export and a newer JSON export also remain unimported pending client verification.
Official September 18 issue status
Blizzard's Known Issues post says several fixes are intended for the next Beta build, including:
- Waylaid Crates with stack-size requirements;
- Apprentice Curiosities accepting the wrong Magic Essence target;
- the Escaping Ban'ethil escort behavior;
- Starshards not benefiting from Twilight Focus.
Blizzard's September 24 notes explicitly state that Starshards gains Twilight Focus pushback resistance. The October 8 notes also list a slower-moving Sentinel Lynessa during Escaping Ban'ethil. Both are listed as fixed in official notes; client re-test pending. The remaining items retain their historical fix announced label here, rather than a claim that they remain broken today.
Build 69913 crash report
A Blizzard forum report identifies build 69913 while describing an ERROR #109 freeze and a GPU compute MMU fault. The report establishes that one player encountered those symptoms; it does not establish a universal cause or an official workaround.
For current triage and safe troubleshooting boundaries, use Beta Known Issues. Linux/Wine reports are especially important to label as unsupported-environment observations rather than Windows or macOS guarantees.
Update policy
This page changes only when at least one of the following is available:
- an official Blizzard post identifies a build or updated status;
- the monitored build list records a newer client build;
- a reproducible check verifies a previously announced fix;
- a separately reviewed talent export passes the repository's freshness and integrity gates.
