WoW Forever Race/Class Combinations & Racials

Track confirmed WoW Forever race/class combinations and racial changes, including the verified Skyborne matrix and beta status for the wider roster.

World of Warcraft: Forever will add new race/class combinations and racial updates, but Blizzard has only published a fully explicit class split for Skyborne in the official material used by this guide. The broader matrix circulating in community screenshots should be treated as preview-observed until beta verification.

Blizzard also says Skyborne receive new racials and race-specific Druid forms.

For the race itself — unlocks, Zephras Isle, faction choice, and customization — use the dedicated Skyborne guide.

What Blizzard has confirmed beyond Skyborne

The Forever team has said class identity remains central and that the game will include new race and class combinations alongside new abilities and talent updates.

What Blizzard has not provided in the public recap is a final, complete table of every existing race against every class. That gap is exactly why community-made race/class matrices have attracted substantial interest.

Why we are not copying a community matrix as final

Preview screenshots can be accurate for the build they came from and still change before beta or launch. A matrix page becomes a reference tool, so one wrong "Yes" can send thousands of players toward a character plan that no longer exists.

Our update rule is:

  1. Official Blizzard confirmation is marked Confirmed.
  2. Beta client combinations are marked Verified in Beta once checked directly.
  3. Demo or screenshot-only combinations stay Observed until verified.

That approach matters even more for racials, where exact values and cooldowns can change independently of whether a race/class pairing exists.

Racials: confirmed direction, incomplete values

Blizzard confirms new racials for Skyborne and broader racial/class choice work in Forever. Exact full-race values are not final enough to publish as a permanent database yet.

When beta begins, this page will become a structured matrix for:

  • race availability by faction;
  • class availability by race;
  • new or removed combinations;
  • racial ability names and values;
  • faction-specific exceptions;
  • change dates during beta.

Will we create "best race for X" pages?

Not yet. A "best race for Warrior" or "best race for PvP" guide requires stable racials, stable class kits, and a real performance context. Publishing those now would turn community speculation into false certainty.

If beta data shows that those searches have a distinct decision-making intent, they can become separate guides later. Until then, this matrix remains the canonical page for combinations and racials.

Beta verification checklist

On September 17 we will check:

  • every selectable race/class pair in character creation;
  • any faction-specific restrictions;
  • racial tooltips and numeric values;
  • whether racials differ from preview builds;
  • whether new combinations require unlocks or special conditions.

Pre-release note: the Skyborne rows above are official. The wider Forever race/class matrix will be added only as it is verified.
