WoW Forever Professions & Camping Guide

Learn how WoW Forever Camping works, how professions add campsite objects, when recipes unlock, and which details Blizzard has not confirmed yet.

Camping turns the Cooking Fire into a shared outdoor rest stop, while professions supply the useful objects placed around it. Blizzard says Forever adds more than 600 recipes across professions and level ranges, but it has not published a complete final recipe database.

Camping rules at a glance

RuleConfirmed behavior
Starting objectBasic Campfire, expanded from Cooking Fire
Basic capacityUp to three special crafted objects
ContributionEach nearby player can contribute one object
CooldownContributed objects share a one-hour cooldown
First unlockProfession skill 20, from special NPCs or profession trainers

Players need to sit and become rested at a campsite before receiving its one-hour benefits. Camps can provide vendors, repairs, profession workspaces and buffs depending on what players contribute.

Confirmed profession examples

  • Blacksmithing: Sharpening Wheel, granting an Attack Power effect.
  • Tailoring: Faction Banner, granting a Spirit effect.
  • Herbalism: Incense Candle, granting an Intellect effect.
  • Alchemy: Alchemy Lab for profession use.
  • Leatherworking: Tanning Rack required for more advanced recipes.
  • Cooking: upgraded campfires that increase the campsite object limit.

Blizzard says each profession has three campsite objects learned at different skill levels, and every profession provides a buff or utility. The examples above are not the complete list.

Buff stacking

The announced campsite stat effects are variants of buffs normally supplied by particular classes and do not stack with those class buffs. A group should therefore coordinate its objects instead of placing three effects already covered by its party composition.

What to do during the level-20 beta

  1. Reach profession skill 20 and check both the trainer and any camping-introduction NPC.
  2. Record the exact recipe source and required materials before sharing it as a guide.
  3. Test whether the campsite location permits placement; Blizzard warns that some places are better suited than others.
  4. Coordinate objects with the party's existing class buffs.
  5. Treat dungeon Blueprint drops as boss-specific only after the drop has been reproduced or officially listed.

What remains unconfirmed

This site is not yet publishing:

  • a complete list of all 600-plus recipes;
  • exact materials for every campsite object;
  • every Blueprint boss source;
  • a final profession tier list;
  • assumptions that beta recipes and cooldowns will reach launch unchanged.

Those pages need verified beta records rather than extrapolation from Classic or preview footage.
