WoW Forever Enchanting: Recipes, Camp Objects & Changes

Track WoW Forever Enchanting changes, new recipe categories, the Enchanted Lute, Arcane Salvager and Arcane Forge, with beta data caveats.

Enchanting in WoW Forever expands beyond ordinary gear enchants with new camp objects, ring enchants, material transmutes and crafted staves. Current client-derived databases disagree on the exact total number of recipe records, so this page focuses on the changes that are consistent across the reviewed sources instead of presenting one disputed count as final.

Enchanting changes at a glance

ChangeCurrent beta evidence
Camp object 1Enchanted Lute around skill 20
Camp object 2Arcane Salvager around skill 140
Camp object 3Arcane Forge around skill 300
New crafting directionsRing enchants, shard transmutes, staves, off-hands and relic-style items
Natural pairingTailoring remains useful because crafted cloth items can feed disenchanting

The Enchanted Lute is currently described as a campsite object that improves armor, stats and resistances. Arcane Salvager supports disenchanting utility, while Arcane Forge is tied to higher-end profession crafting.

Why recipe totals differ between databases

Current beta sites that read the client do not all count recipe records the same way. One reviewed source exposes 222 recipes/items, while another lists 261 recipe records from build 1.60.1.69977. Differences can come from whether learned spells, recipe items, changed Classic recipes and duplicate craft outputs are counted separately.

Because of that, this site will not use an exact recipe total as a headline claim until the counting method is standardized.

What to do during the beta

  1. Train Enchanting normally and keep disenchantable drops instead of assuming every item should be vendored.
  2. Check the profession window when approaching skill 20, 140 and 300 for the three camp-object milestones.
  3. Treat new recipe sources as beta data until the trainer, pattern or blueprint source is reproduced.
  4. Use the broader Professions hub for other crafts and Professions & Camping for campsite rules.
