Wolfsbane: Horde Paladin Weapon Quest Guide

Wolfsbane is the final sword reward from a Horde Paladin quest chain, not an ordinary dungeon drop. Start with Danitha Morr at Bandarion Keep in Tirisfal Glades. The opening quest, Diplomatic Incident, is recorded with a minimum level of 18; the later weapon-material stage requires 20. Those acceptance levels are not solo recommendations.

Start the chain before farming materials

Diplomatic Incident sends you to Trevan Rol at the Sepulcher in Silverpine Forest. Follow the investigation through A Curious Pair, A Grim Fate and Into Fenris Keep, then the Lumina Windsinger part of the story. Do not skip straight to a dungeon because you have seen the sword in an item database.

Fenris Keep and the escort are separate from the later material collection. If Lumina is missing, players report that another character may already be escorting her; check for an active escort before assuming the chain has broken. Respawn timing and bugs can change during beta.

A Moon-Kissed Blade: material checklist

Accept A Moon-Kissed Blade before doing the collection route. Keep Trevan's Weapon Notes and check the objectives in your own log.

The material locations above are beta player reports attached to the quest record, not guaranteed drop rates. In particular, naga in the approach cave can matter; “Blackfathom Deeps” does not necessarily mean the item only drops beyond the instance portal.

Use the Horde quest ID 95042 for Seeking the Kor Gem. Classic Alliance guides with the same quest name and Thundris Windweaver are not this handoff.

Ott, the intermediate blade and the final fight

Once the materials are ready, An Underrated Talent sends the supplied bundle to Ott in Tarren Mill. Continue through Ott's Masterwork and The Moonsilver Blade, returning the masterwork to Trevan.

Keep the Moonsilver Blade. It is the intermediate quest weapon, not Wolfsbane. The final Old Fire-Eye quest instructs you to use it against the enemy in southern Silverpine, toward the Gilneas gate.

Before leaving, check that your Paladin can wield two-handed swords and has trained the weapon skill. Players report that a successful weapon hit with the quest blade removes the protective effect; missed attacks are not proof that the item is wrong. Bring help for the elite encounter rather than treating the minimum quest level as a solo guarantee. Finish the turn-in to receive Wolfsbane.

Why can I not see the quest?

Check your class, faction, level and earlier chain steps first. The opening record and the later material quest have different minimum levels. Compare the quest ID, not just the translated title, when following a database link.

This guide covers the beta route reviewed on October 21. We have not independently run it in an enUS client, and it is not a final launch loot or best-in-slot claim. For builds, use the Paladin guide; for other routes, open the quest index.
