WoW Forever Talents: Trees, Changes & Calculator
Explore WoW Forever talent trees, 11/16/21/31-point milestones and Paladin changes. Open the calculator with fixed build 1.60.1.69876 reference data.
WoW Forever keeps the familiar Classic talent-tree structure, but Blizzard has now confirmed an additional one-point milestone at 16 points alongside the familiar 11-, 21-, and 31-point milestones. Some talents remain as they were in patch 1.12, some are revised, and several important class-buff talents become baseline abilities.
This page covers talent-tree structure and changes. Interactive build planning is available in the separate WoW Forever Talent Calculator under Tools. The current public tool is a fixed 1.60.1.69876 snapshot, not a live-build claim.
What the Deep Dive confirms about talent trees
Blizzard says Forever talent trees keep:
- the familiar overall structure;
- the same number of rows;
- one-point milestone talents at 11, 16, 21, and 31 points.
The 16-point milestone is the major structural addition. Blizzard also says some patch 1.12 talents remain unchanged, while others are improved or replaced.
Several talents that previously granted important class buffs are becoming baseline, including Divine Spirit, Blessing of Kings, and Improved Mark of the Wild.
Paladin talent examples
Paladin is the first class Blizzard has detailed deeply enough to give concrete examples of the new approach.
Confirmed talent or build-path examples include:
- Improved Holy Strike — appeared in the earlier design and fixed
69876snapshot; Blizzard removed it in the September 24 beta update and made its cooldown behavior baseline; - Voice of Truth — temporarily protects against Silence and Interrupt effects;
- Reverence — allows Spirit-based mana regeneration while casting;
- Vindication — reduces enemy Attack Power while increasing the Paladin's own;
- Sacred Arbiter — empowers Holy Strike and refreshes Judgments;
- Champion of the Light — increases spell damage based on Intellect;
- Instrument of the Law — the Deep Dive overview describes reduced threat and instant Holy Wrath; see the version note below;
- Twist of Light — supports Seal Twisting by allowing a new Seal to echo into the next melee swing.

Version note — September 18, 2026: the Deep Dive overview names Holy Wrath. The fixed 1.60.1.69876 source export, corroborated by our captured skill-effect records, instead names Instrument of Law and reduces Hammer of Wrath cast time. These are different skills; the overview wording is not being presented as the verified beta effect.

What still needs release-client verification
The Deep Dive confirms the framework, and the calculator preserves one named beta snapshot. Neither establishes these details for the release client:
- every talent name and exact rank value;
- prerequisites and point gates across all classes;
- moved or removed talents;
- new abilities tied to specific talents;
- changes made after the archived snapshot;
- current-client coverage for every class, beyond the historical Paladin examples.
