Cozy Sleeping Bag: Quest Route and XP Buff
Follow the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest route in WoW Forever, find the final satchel at Thoradin's Wall, and distinguish its XP buff from Camping.
The Cozy Sleeping Bag comes from an exploration quest chain starting at level 14, not from the Camping tutorial. Alliance starts in Westfall; Horde starts in the Barrens. Both factions visit both locations, in the opposite order, before following the same mountain-and-dam route.
Route: what to interact with
| Stage | Destination | Action |
|---|---|---|
| ... and that note you found | Alliance: Alexston Farmstead, Westfall; Horde: ruined tower south of Camp Taurajo, Barrens | Inspect Burned-Out Remains, then travel to the other faction's starting location. Look for the Nailed Plank to continue |
| Stepping Stones | Abandoned camp in Stonetalon Mountains | Find Pocket Litter and accept Scramble |
| Scramble | Ledge beyond the camp | Reach the Mound of Dirt; accept Wet Job |
| Wet Job | Stonewrought Dam, northern Loch Modan | Reach the figurine on the dam's carved face; accept Eagle's Fist |
| Eagle's Fist → This Must Be The Place | Thoradin's Wall, Hillsbrad–Arathi border | Climb from the broken cart on the Hillsbrad side, reach the Messenger Bag, then interact with the Hastily Rolled-Up Satchel for the reward |
This is not a straight-line leveling route. Plan boat/zeppelin crossings and flight paths first; low quest acceptance level does not make every road safe. At the dam, identify the ledge before jumping: a missed landing can send you down toward Wetlands.
At the wall but no sleeping bag?
The hanging Messenger Bag and the reward satchel are different objects. Finish Eagle's Fist at the bag, accept This Must Be The Place, then use the satchel below it. Reaching the wall without completing earlier steps does not unlock the reward.
If Stepping Stones does not appear automatically after the first handoff, inspect the Nailed Plank at the relevant starting site. Check the current quest in your log before repeating the whole trip.
How the experience buff works
Rest in the deployed sleeping bag: records describe 1% additional experience per minute, up to three stacks / 3%, with a one-hour item cooldown. This is separate from campfire rest and profession-object stat buffs; sitting at a normal fire is not the same action.
Published beta guides disagree about the buff's duration and total Student Fodder rewards. Read the current client tooltip and quest reward panel rather than assuming an old Season of Discovery guide applies unchanged. Student Fodder is described as health recovery in Forever, not a guaranteed rested-XP consumable.
The route is source-reviewed, not independently completed by us in a client. Beta rewards and interactions may change.
