Warlockguy won The Forever Open, defeating Neepzen 3-1 in the grand final. Both finalists played Warlock. The community-run WoW Forever beta dueling tournament held its finals on October 18, 2026; the published champion's prize was $50,000 USD, from a $100,000 USD total pool.

Who won the WoW Forever tournament?

The organizers' finals bracket on Raider.IO records Warlockguy's win. The final four finished as follows:

1WarlockguyBeat Neepzen 3-1 in the grand final
2NeepzenLost the best-of-five grand final 1-3
3CdewxLost the lower final to Warlockguy 0-2

Warlockguy reached the championship match through the lower bracket after losing an earlier series to Neepzen 1-2. The bracket separates that earlier match from the grand final; they are not conflicting reports of the same score.

When was The Forever Open, and what were the rules?

The event hub identifies Tips Out, Esfand and Xaryu as the organizers. Qualifiers were held on October 17, followed by the October 18 finals. This was a community 1v1 dueling event on level-30 beta characters, not a launch-season arena ladder or a Blizzard championship.

The finals rules specified 36 finalists, four from each of nine classes. The published prize schedule lists the champion's award separately from class awards. Prize amounts are in US dollars; the table above does not claim that a player has already received payment.

The competition is over. Old registration buttons on the event hub do not announce a new tournament or provide beta access.

Where can I see the bracket and final clip?

  • Open the finals bracket for each round and the talent links published beside competitors.
  • Watch Xaryu's grand-final victory clip on Twitch. This is a short clip, not a full tournament replay; Twitch controls its availability.
  • Use the event hub for the organizers' tournament information. We have not verified a permanent full-event VOD, so this page does not label a clip as one.

Does an all-Warlock final make Warlock the best launch class?

It shows who won this particular beta tournament. Level-30 duels, event restrictions and the opponents in a bracket do not establish level-60 raid DPS, Battleground performance or the final launch balance.

Use the class chooser for role and playstyle trade-offs, and Warlock guide for that class. Our talent calculator uses a disclosed fixed snapshot; a tournament talent link should not be silently treated as a verified import into that snapshot.

For the game's ongoing Honor and Rank Point systems, read PvP progression. For Normal, PvP, RP and RP-PvP choices, use servers and rulesets. Neither the tournament result nor watching a stream grants access to those rulesets.

What happens after the beta tournament?

The tournament's October 18 finish and the beta's scheduled October 23 shutdown are different dates. For the next playable milestones, check name reservation and the release schedule, rather than an expired competition signup.
