WoW Forever beta starts September 17, 2026 and runs through October 21. See confirmed access options, dates, and what still needs in-game verification.
World of Warcraft: Forever beta begins September 17, 2026 and runs through October 21, 2026, PST. Blizzard currently guarantees beta access through the Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection. Other community-reported invitation routes should not be treated as guaranteed until Blizzard confirms them.

Blizzard's current purchase page gives a clear start and end window for the beta. The beta is separate from Early Name Reservation, which happens later and is available with any optional Forever upgrade purchase.
How to get WoW Forever beta access
The two access routes Blizzard explicitly lists are:
- Skyborne Epic Pack — includes the Heroic Pack contents plus beta access, 30 days of game time beginning November 4, additional cosmetics, pets, tabards, and additional Invite-A-Friend Launch Codes.
- Warcraft Forever Collection — includes everything in the Epic Pack plus Warcraft III: Reforged, the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and additional housing decor for modern World of Warcraft.
The Skyborne Heroic Pack does not list beta access among its included benefits. It does include the Skyborne race, the Zephras Isle starting experience, Early Name Reservation, a ground mount, cosmetics, housing decor, and one Invite-A-Friend Launch Code.

What will the beta actually answer?
The beta matters because several of the highest-demand questions are impossible to answer responsibly from previews alone. We will use it to verify:
- actual class spellbooks and talent trees;
- race/class combinations and racial abilities;
- zone boundaries, quest hubs, travel routes, flight paths, and rare locations;
- dungeon entrances, layouts, bosses, quests, and loot;
- Legacy progression rules and whether its benefits are account-wide;
- Camping recipes, placement rules, profession contributions, and buffs;
- early leveling routes and whether classic-era assumptions still hold in Forever.
That work will feed directly into the Classes, Talents, Zones, and Dungeons sections.
What is still unconfirmed before beta?
A number of details are circulating through demo impressions and community discussion, including staged level caps, specific talent values, full racial matrices, and wipe expectations. Unless Blizzard publishes those details directly, we treat them as observed or reported, not final.
In particular, do not assume that preview talent numbers, quest rewards, dungeon loot, or class balance will survive unchanged into the live game.
Will beta progress carry into launch?
Blizzard's current public purchase information confirms the beta dates and access packages, but it does not provide a final public statement on character carryover in the material we are using for this guide. We will update this section when Blizzard publishes a definitive answer.
What happens after beta?
Early Name Reservation runs from October 27 through November 3, 2026, PST for players with any Forever upgrade purchase. Blizzard says you can create and customize up to three characters during that window, with names reserved on a first-come, first-served basis.
